How it works

Three steps from a big change to a book they ask for every night.

Here’s how it will work when we open.

  1. Step 1: Tell us about your family

Your child’s first name and age, who’s in their story, and the moment your family is living through. A few minutes, start to finish.

  2. Step 2: We create their story

We write each story with help from an AI model, using your choices and our own story outlines, and AI creates the pictures in a warm storybook style. Every book goes through our safety checks before we send it.

  3. Step 3: Read it together

We email you a private link to your e-book when it’s ready. It’s made to be read again and again.

The stories

A story for the moment your family is in.

Homefront Stories began with military kids, who say goodbye, start over and wait more than most. Every story is written for one moment, with your child in the middle of it.

Military family

Our signature stories, for the goodbyes, moves and reunions of military life.

  • AI-generated storybook illustration of a girl in a cozy bedroom at dusk, taking a link off a paper countdown chain by the window.

    For the months apart

    Deployment Countdown

Turns the waiting into something your child can hold: a story to read on the hard nights, and a reason to cheer as each day goes by.

  • AI-generated storybook illustration of a boy hugging a stuffed fox on a stack of moving boxes, looking out at a new street lined with pines.

    For the big move

    New Duty Station (PCS Move)

Packing boxes, goodbyes, a new bedroom and a new school. A PCS move (a permanent change of station) is a big one, and your child gets to be the brave one on every page, from the old front door to the new one.

  • AI-generated storybook illustration of a child in a yellow raincoat running across a lawn into a parent’s open arms beside a porch with a heart banner.

For the day they come home

    Homecoming

Builds the excitement for the reunion, then keeps the day safe on the shelf: the banner, the running hug, the whole family back together.

Everyday family

For the big moments every family goes through.

  • For the trips away

    Parent Travels for Work

Goodbyes at the door, calls at bedtime, and the happy sound of a suitcase rolling back in.

  • For a fresh start

    Moving to a New Home

Packing up the old room, finding the new one, and learning that home is the people who come along.

  • For the new arrival

    New Baby / Big Sibling

Your child steps up as the big sister or big brother: helper, hugger and best song singer.

  • For the first big step

    First Day of School

New backpack, new classroom, new friends, and first-day butterflies turned into a brave wave.

  • For the miles between visits

    Grandparent Far Away

Phone calls, drawings in the mail, and a countdown to the next big hug.

Sample pages

Pages that sound like your family.

Gentle storybook pictures created with AI, and stories that are honest about missing someone. These are sample pages; names and details change for every book.

  • Sample page: a boy in striped pajamas drawing a picture in a blanket fort, his golden retriever beside him.

Every Tuesday, Leo drew a picture for Dad. Today it was their house, with the porch light on, so Dad would always know the way home.

    Sample · Deployment Countdown

  • Sample page: a girl at her bedroom window looking at a full moon shining over a wide ocean.

“Is Mama looking at the same moon?” Ava asked. “The very same one,” said Grandpa. “She’s saying goodnight to it, too.”

    Sample · Deployment Countdown

  • Sample page: a girl with a backpack and red scarf at the edge of a new playground while a classmate waves from the swings.

The new playground had tall pines and a swing that squeaked. Maya took a big breath. Being brave was something she had practiced.

FAQ

Questions parents ask.

Something else? Write to contact@thought2creations.com.

Can I order now?

Yes. E-books are available now. Printed books aren’t available yet.

What will I need to make a book?

Just a few details from you, the parent or guardian: your child’s first name and age, who’s in the story, and the story you need.

Do we need to be a military family?

No. Homefront Stories began with military families, and they’re still at the heart of what we make. Our Everyday family stories are for any family: a parent who travels for work, a move to a new home, a new baby, a first day of school or a grandparent far away.

Will you ask where my service member is, or when they’re coming home?

No. To protect OPSEC, we never ask for or print deployment locations, dates, bases or unit details. Stories talk about “far away” and “soon,” the way kids do.

Do you use AI to make the books?

Yes. An AI model writes the story text from your choices, following our own story outlines, and AI creates the pictures. Every book goes through our safety checks. AI can make mistakes, and pictures may not look exactly like your family. If something in your book isn’t right, email us and we’ll fix it or refund you, as our Terms of Sale explain.

Which story is right for us?

For military families, Deployment Countdown is for the stretch apart, New Duty Station (PCS Move) is for a change of duty station and everything that comes with it, and Homecoming is for the build-up to the reunion and the day itself. For every family, there’s Parent Travels for Work, Moving to a New Home, New Baby / Big Sibling, First Day of School and Grandparent Far Away. Pick the one that fits the moment you’re in.

What’s the difference between the e-book and the hardcover?

The e-book ($19) is a download you can read on a phone, tablet or computer. Printed books aren’t available yet. When they are, they’ll be made and shipped by our print partner, Lulu Press, Inc., and each hardcover order will include the e-book.

Is shipping included?

E-books have no shipping. Any sales tax is shown at checkout before you pay. Printed books are coming soon; their prices and shipping aren’t offered yet.
